While a LEJ might look like an off-the-shelf parts bass, it is far from it. It is a truly customizable bass. We only place the highest quality of parts on our basses. Here are some of the standard features included in the base price.
   

Hipshot "A" Type Bridge

The Hipshot "A" bridge is the standard bridge in the high end bass market. We specifically use the plated brass version which allows for better balance and a beefier tone. This bridge allows for top load or through-body stringing. They have side to side adjustment for even more flexibility as well as the standard height adjustment and intonation.
   

Hipshot Ultralite Tuners

The Hipshot Ultralite tuners are also an industry standard. With the clover key style, they keep the classic look while providing the best features available. These tuners are very light and help with the balance of the bass (especially when you move to 6 or 7 strings). They are also a very smooth turning tuner and very precise.

   

Three Piece Necks

We offer the only classic style bass available with a 3-peice maple neck. If you don't understand the use or function of this, it's easy to understand with a simple analogy. Imagine the neck of your bass as a single popsicle stick. Now, imagine a 3-peice neck as three popsicle sticks tuned on their sides. This allows for a much, much more stable neck. This is one of the main factors in the stability of our necks and the tightness of the "B" string on a 34" scale.
   

Custom Slim design Pickups

These pickups were designed and engineered by our master guru, Brian Barrett and built by Kent Armstrong, the True Master. These pickups are a humbucker as opposed to a wider side by side humbuckers. This gives a punchy, growly humbucker that sounds similar to the dirt of a single coil but fatter. These pickups can also be setup to switch between parallel and Series if requested.

LowEnd Preamp

This is a modified version of the Benavente preamp in a 2 band eq setup for best results. These preamps are built from the ground up at The LowEnd. This preamp has been setup to match perfectly with the slim pickups. A feature about this preamp is the lack of preloaded EQ curve in the flat position.

This preamp is also available for purchase outside of a LEJ. We can set it up on a Jazz control plate, with or without pots, and pre wired.
